Reports from the Meteorological Service indicate we will be seeing colder than normal temperatures over the Atlantic this winter season. Each female crew member will be issued this coat. Chosen for its velveteen-like softness and fully-lined warmth, it’s form-fitting and ideal for wearing over your airship uniform (skirts or trousers). The longer length protects against leg chill, but the bottom box pleats provide freedom of movement. Double rows of antiqued brass colored buttons add military flair, and the snapped collar will keep all necks warm and toasty. And for those with cold hands, front pockets. I am fortunate to have the warmest of hearts on my crew. I intend to keep them that way.

    This lovely coat is well-tailored with a nice tapered waist and cute flared skirt.

    The fabric is very soft and resists water fairly well. It's warm enough for Canadian early spring/late fall type weather. The buttons, though plastic, do look like brass, and the collar has a snap to keep it closed.

    Overall, a beautiful piece that's appropriate for any wardrobe!
    This jacket is comfy, well cut, and has pockets at a comfortable level. It's soft, but not quite as warm as wool peacoats of similar design. It's true, as the previous review says, the buttons are plastic, not brass, but they aren't junky looking. They look like metal, and it's only upon feeling them that you realize they are plastic, so it was not a concern or detractor for me.
    love the coat but disappointed with the buttons. when i tried the coat on the bottom button fell off. description said antique brass buttons and they are not. they are plastic. i will have to hunt down brass buttons because they are a big part of the look of the coat.
