I purchased the last small in e tea-stained color and I am immensely pleased with my purchase. It's very pretty and feminine, but versatile too. The only complaint I could have is that when I got my skirt home, I discovered a small tear on the skirt, possibly from a skirt lift. But that's easy to repair and is in no way a reflection on the overall product itself. I plan to get another in a different color soon!
I purchased this skirt in black. The stretchy waistband is great, since it looks smooth under shirts, corsets, and vests. I’ve also worn it for belly dancing with a short halter. I love the texture of the skirt – it looks great when I wear it for costumes, casual wear, and to work. The only downside is that it’s long, even when I fold over the waistband. I might hem it to make it shorter, but since I’m not a great sewer, I don’t want to ruin it. On a side note, my friend purchased a skirt almost identical, but not lined, from Macy’s for a much cheaper price.
Love this skirt! Love it! Wore it to work today (got it last night). Black matches the Edwardian blouse black, so yay for that, too. Was between M and S, and S fits just fine. Large, comfy elastic waistband (but not extremely stretchy, so don't go smaller...), perfect for a corset or one of the halters to go over! Or you can fold over the band... Works, too. Comfy! Love it!
This skirt is a dream. I absolutely love wearing it. It's comfortable, light wight, and most of all moves with such grace that it almost looks like its floating. Seriously, though, I love the length and find that pairing it with heeled boots makes a wonderful combination. Plus as I said before its lightweight and totally comfortable to wear during the summertime. The only downside is that the interior of the skirt can tear easily when stepped on. That being said this is an amazing item and one that has become a favorite of mine to wear. I would totally recommend this item to others, something I have already done. ;)
I LOVE this skirt. Bought for a Halloween wedding and now I wear it to work. Comfortable, moves like a dream. Costume or not, it's fabulous!
When I first tried the skirt on, I was thoroughly impressed with the comfortable fit and how light it was. The first thing I thought was "Finally! a light skirt that I can move around in at conventions!". And my favorite part about it is the way it moves when I twirl in it. Being an adolescent with A.D.D, this is most amusing for me. My sister has been treading the house cautiously now because she doesn't want another head on collision as I twirl around the house. Ever since this fashionable skirt arrived in the mail, I have been a comfortable, steampunk tornado.
Purchased this along with a vest on this site and I must say, this is a great looking skirt! I ordered it in black, and the fit is nearly perfect. I am a little on the small side, so the skirt tended to drag a bit, but when paired with some heeled boots, it looks nice. Aside from that, I will probably order some skirt hikes for extra lift so I don't accidentally step on my skirt and rip it. What you can't see in the picture is that the elastic waist is very high, and covered my belly (I'm hoping that is intentional, or else I'm wearing it wrong)...so if you're planning on showing off some skin (but what lady would?), just keep that in mind. The fabric is also fairly lightweight and soft, so I feel like i could also wear this in the summer for outings and not sweat to death in it. Perfect and practical!
Ms. Tarabotti would be quite pleased. :)
